The holiday season is upon us, time for family, friends, fun, and food. Take the time to make memories with your children during this holiday season.
I find it both an honor and a very humbling experience to be the new principal at Vinton County Middle School. It is unbelievable the way the staff and students have accepted me as well as the support I have received from the community. We have set our sights to make improvement in our building which will help lead to improvement in the district. Many positive learning experiences are taking place in the building thanks to a very dedicated and positive staff. It is an amazing sight to walk through our classrooms and observe the level of student engagement taking place.
After spending 9 years as Assistant Principal, and also teaching in Wilkesville, Hamden, and the old Vinton County High School, I still look forward to showing up for work everyday. Even though everyone at times has different opinions of what is best for Vinton County Local Schools, all parties agree our students are priority one and I do not foresee that changing in the future.
Please take interest in your child’s education and feel free to contact the school with any questions or concerns you may have. Anytime you are helping your child with her or his homework, reading to them, or answering their questions, you are making a positive investment in their future.

The funds, collected during a three-week period, benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Everyone who participates is a winner!
